View Printable version of this article The very first inductee into the Reality TV Hall of Shame was Justin Sebik from Big Brother 2 (though, contrary to his own egocentric view of the universe, the Hall was not created just for him, as he expressed in an e-mail to us). At the time, we noted, “it will take an awful lot for anybody to ever surpass the behavior that got him into the Hall – and I, for one, hope never to see it happen.” To date, it hasn’t. However, Justin himself has managed to find his way back in for an update on his current situation. Of course, if it were good, it probably wouldn’t be here. Besides doing the things that got him thrown out of the BB2 house, Justin had a bit of a checkered past. After he was booted, a background check by the New York Times found that Justin had been arrested five times in his hometown of Bayonne, New Jersey. While none of them resulted in prosecutions, three of the arrests were for assault and two for minor robberies. Then, in early 2002, he was arrested again. This time the charge was assaulting his girlfriend, who had a broken ankle and choke marks on her neck. Information on the current status of this case is not immediately available (if anybody knows how it has turned out, please contact us). But we wouldn’t be bringing you this update just to talk about his old arrests. That’s right, Justin has once again come to the attention of police. The Jersey Journal reports that Justin was arrested for online fraud. He allegedly sold four car engines online, collecting about $10,000, and never actually delivered the parts. Apparently, Justin has moved forward technologically now to conduct his, um, business. At least you can’t assault somebody over the Internet. But anyway, Justin set up an account on eBay and had auctions going for four Honda Integra JDM type B engines back in August. People complained about him and his account was closed by eBay, but that didn’t stop a truly dedicated guy like Justin. He struck out on his own and made deals over e-mail with at least four people – possibly more, but four have come forward so far. Each of them sent in the money but then suddenly Justin was impossible to contact – and of course the engines were not forthcoming. Eventually, they called police, who have since gathered bank records, e-mails, and other evidence to support their case against Justin. He was arrested and bail was set at $50,000. It’s unknown at this time if he has made bail or remains in jail. Back when Justin was on the show – and kicked off – it was pretty obvious that this guy was no Einstein. When he was booted for holding a knife to fellow contestant (and fellow Hall of Shame inductee) Krista Stegall, pretending to swing a sweeper at her, making threats to others, etc., he said, “I didn’t threaten nuthin against anybody.” Mind you, he had admitted trying to use intimidation tactics even after he said, on-camera, that he knew such things were not allowed. But he still couldn’t understand why he had been booted. But this really shows how intelligent he truly is. The people he allegedly duped knew enough about him to call his local police. And this is a guy who was on national TV. Sure, it was a couple years ago, but his name is still fairly well-known in infamy. Here he is allegedly trying to pull of a scam that doesn’t even come close to something he could do without getting caught. I mean, it’s not like he sold them engines and then sent them faulty equipment. He allegedly sent them nothing! Did he “think” they would just shrug and forget about the roughly $2500 each had sent? Justin couldn’t stay in the Big Brother house and now, even when it comes to (alleged) crime, he still couldn’t make it work.
