First, during a Detour challenge, Jonathan continued to bark orders at Victoria while they were making brats. This wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but he continued to scream at her when she asked a cab for directions and let Freddy & Kendra pass by them. Then came the crowing moment of Jonathan's shamefulness. While running to the Pit Stop, Jonathan dropped his bag. Victoria, thinking that someone might take it, picked it up and yelled for Jonathan to come back. In the meantime, Freddy & Kendra passed them and checked in as the first team. While they checked in, Jonathan went back to Victoria, shouting at her with all he had and calling her every name in the book. She was crying, but he continued to yell at her. As they walked up to the Pit Stop, Jonathan pushed her bag, almost knocking her over and making her cry even more. After Phil told them they were second, Jonathan yelled more at Victoria, as she went to a bench to sit and cry. By this point, Phil had to intervene and tell Jonathan to go talk to his partner. Jonathan reluctantly went over to Victoria, but instead of consoling her and being happy that they were second, he gave her another lecture about compassion and how they were in a race. Not only did he fail to redeem himself, but Jonathan actually managed to make himself look like even more of a horrible person than most already thought. This entire incident was so bad that it had to be highlighted as a Hall of Shame Moment, even though we knew he was likely to end up with a full induction anyway. You would think this incident would have made Jonathan see the light and turn things around. Nope it continued. While signing in for a Roadblock on leg six of the race, Jonathan got mad that Victoria held up a cab, causing Gus & Hera to pass them, so he only signed his own name up for the task, sending a message to Victoria that she wasn't part of the team. What an ass. Later on the leg, Gus & Hera outsmarted Jonathan once again and got tickets to a flight that he couldn't make. Instead of just biting his tongue, Jonathan rushed over to the ticket agent that couldn't get him on the flight and not only badgered her, but screamed at her that she made them lose the race. The horrific part is he was serious about all this. When Jonathan finally caught up to Gus & Hera, he got in Gus' face demanding to know how Gus got tickets on "his flight." Gus did his best to ignore Jonathan, but Jon continued to badger him, telling Gus that those were "his tickets" that Gus stole. First off, Gus & Hera got tickets fairly they were just polite to the person that sold them unlike Jonathan. While working on the Detour, after confronting Gus, Jonathan turned his yelling back at Victoria, telling her to "be the woman and be quiet." I'm still not sure what that means, but it sure sounds shameful, and coming out of Jonathan's mouth there's a 98% chance that it probably is. It was still not the best part, though. The second part of the same Detour required teams to move 55 cannonballs (each at four pounds) up a hill. Jonathan had a good idea of using a tarp, but stood there and let Victoria load every cannonball onto it! Then, when they found out that they were four cannonballs short, he made Victoria carry three of them he only carried one back up the hill! Can you get any more shameful than that? Normally, no but we're talking about Jonathan here. Leaving the Detour, he managed to shut the trunk of the car on Victoria's fingers and that wasn't the first time that happened, although, of course he said it was by accident. I'm not so sure. Probably the funniest shameful act Jonathan did occurred next, during the same leg. As he and Victoria were on their way to an internet cafe, Jonathan continued to scream and yell at their cab driver to go faster since they were in a race. The cab driver, not taking any crap, stopped the cab, opened the door and told Jonathan to get out! Jonathan still didn't realize that he was being shameful, got in another cab, and blamed the cab driver for the whole incident. Of course, by this time, you would have to realize that you're a shameful person and change your ways, right? Nope, not if youre Jonathan Baker. We came to leg seven, and more chances for Jonathan to show what a shameful individual he could be. It began when Victoria didnt hold a cab for him, prompting him to tell Victoria that since she didn't hold that cab, that's why women don't rule the world. Could he be any dumber? When he found out what the Roadblock would be for that leg, which was eating a large bowl of VERY spicy soup, he urged Victoria to do it, and she complied. Of course, if you were keeping track of the Roadblocks to this point, Jonathan did the easy ones, and handed the harder ones off to Victoria so that he could yell at her when she had trouble. So as usual, when Victoria had problems getting the soup down and started throwing up, Jonathan decided that yelling at her would be better motivation than rooting her on from the sidelines. At least Victoria had enough sense to tell him to shut up, but it would have been better if she had turned and just threw up ON HIM. That would have shut him up. Well, maybe.
